Rex Allen’s career in the construction industry has spanned more than twenty years, during which time he has worked as an Architect and Development Project Manager, and has produced over 2500 multi-family units. His background as a licensed Architect gives him a unique perspective on the development process.

Capco Plaza

CAPCO PLAZA, a $50 million, urban mixed-use development on a block wide site in West Seattle. Uses include 67,000 square feet of retail space on two levels at grade, with 157 apartments in five levels above. Major tenants include a 40,000 square foot QFC grocery store and a 12,000 square feet Petco store. Standard development financing; market rate rental apartments.

Shearwater continues it’s commitment to making a difference by providing project management for non profits like Recover Housing and Downsizing In Place. Additionally, Shearwater organizes initiatives such as the Affordable Housing Forum and participates in National Housing Summits like Build Small Live Large. Recover Housing is an initiative to aggregate funding to remove the profit barriers of standard housing development, empowering local communities to create housing that works for everyone.
